Language in Jamaica

Jamaica's official language is English. However, Jamaican creole or Patois is the most widely spoken language in Jamaica, the said language is an english-based creole language with west African influences. Patois is often used in music, especially the reggae type because of its musical lilt and rhythm in the words of language. The other two significant languages are Arawak which is specific to particular regions and Taino which is mixed with Spanish.
